I like to think about things that make me feel good, that bring ease to my mind and heart. I like to ponder people, places, situations, happenings and even words that give me peace and calm and a sense of joy.

As I list words that resonate for me, I invariably come to the words allowing, unfolding, and abundance. I can feel each of these words breathe life into me like a cool glass of water on an extra-hot day, or basking in the sun on the beach. But when I put them together, which I unintentionally did one afternoon, they offer endless possibilities.

Allowing unfolding abundance. To me, this is the act of remembering and trusting that all is well with the world, and then allowing that to be…to unfold. It is the state of mind where I know that things are okay and that life will unfold in an abundant way, if I can relax and let, or allow, it. This sounds like something I want to remember to actively do, for when I get caught in daily life and forget. Allowing unfolding abundance. That’s my call to action, a reminder of what’s important, a challenge I want to meet.

I’ve come to believe that the world is as abundant as I let it be. That each moment can be one of joy and plenty…or not. I’ve come to believe that I can allow or withhold – from myself and others. I’ve come to believe that things are always unfolding and I can, as I’ve said before, dig up my tulip bulbs to see if they’re sprouting or I can let them unfold – allow them to unfold – and rejoice in their beauty when they have.

Allowing. Unfolding. Abundance. There’s really not much more to say about it. Just that I can choose to live my life – or at least my next five minutes – that way.
