That’s the advice someone gave me the other day. It stuck. I don’t even remember, honestly, what they were advising me about. I guess, in retrospect, that part isn’t essential. What stuck is the concept of having fun.

I like fun. But I can forget to have it.

I can have fun writing this blog post. I can have fun doing the dishes. I can have fun answering the RFP for work. I can have fun. I can have fun. Or I can not.

It’s another one of those “it’s a choice” things. Another opportunity to use my mind to help me or to hurt me (or at least to be neutral). Another chance to shift my perspective, if my current perspective isn’t working for me, so that I can have a better day.

I really like fun. I really do. In a guided meditation I was listening to the other day they spoke of having the sense of a gentle smile within. I can have that smile, and approach the day and my tasks at hand with that smile. I can have fun.

There’s really not a lot to say about this. Other than have fun with it.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, and please share this post with others if it resonates with you!
