I’m in a bit of a lull. And I need your help.
to the moon and back has been out over ten months. I find that hard to believe.
In those ten months I’ve done (I think) twenty-two book readings, one Megyn Kelly interview, one author panel, quite a few speaker events and presentations, a book trailer, a workshop (in Scotland) on extremist groups, on-line readings for an on-line college course on cults, and numerous podcasts, media interviews, social media posts (thank you for your patience with that!), and book clubs. Phew! No wonder I’m tired.
And, again, I’m now in a bit of a lull.
Which is delightful. And rejuvenating. And a bit of a quandary.
I’m about to head into my August sabbatical – for the past twelve years (this will be my 13th) – I shut down my leadership consulting and executive coaching business for the month of August and practice what I preach. Rest. Reflection. Relaxation.
I intend to do the same here as well (more about that later), but I’d be lying if I denied that part of my August will also be spent thinking about – and planning – my next steps to promote to the moon and back.
I’m hoping to spread three messages with to the moon and back – three messages that I think are important and worth sharing. First, extremist groups exist, and they’re intoxicating and dangerous. Second, for anyone who feels hopeless or damaged beyond repair, there is hope. And third, I believe we are, as a species, extremely hard on ourselves – self-critical, self-judging, self-lambasting – and we all need a huge dose of self-love and self-compassion.
I’m willing to do pretty much anything – and everything – I can to spread these messages.
Therefore, I’m eager to come back in the fall with potentially more book readings, speaker events and presentations, workshops on extremist groups, college course readings and appearances (and maybe even high school), and podcasts, media interviews, social media posts (thank you in advance for your patience with that!) and book clubs. And I’d love your input and help.
- Where should I speak?
- To whom should I reach out?
- Where and how can my messages potentially make a difference and reach people who might feel a bit more hope and ease and joy upon hearing my messages?
- And/or what should I write about here on lisakohnwrites?
Please let me know your thoughts. Any and all ideas are welcome. Any and all connections and introductions are appreciated. Any and all suggestions and schemes will be given grave consideration.
Thank you for being part of my community and for helping me spread my messages.
I choose hope, and I choose love.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, and please share this post with others if it resonates with you!
One thing you can do for sure is join me again on Set Lusting Bruce to share more of your stories and give advice on how during these troubled times, how do we take care of ourselves and others.
Thank you Jesse! I would love to! I will email you.
How did you show up in my phone? I do not know but every time I read what you write and share, I have the same reaction you have with your yellow birds. Joy comes into my life. Thank you so much for being my yellow bird. Good day.
Thank you. I will always love my yellow birds!!!
